9th Grade Regulars Summer Reading Assignment
The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson. Create a "Wanted" poster for one of the characters in the book. It should include a drawing of the character, a physical description of the character, the character's misdeed(s), other important information about the character, and the reward offered for the capture of the character.
Mythology by Edith Hamiltion: Write three journal/reader's log entries, each on a different story. Each journal should include the name of the story and number of the page the story begins. A 5 - 7 sentence summary of the story as if the reader where present during the events taking place and explain why this story is important (2-5 sentences). This will also meet with the 9th grade History Summary Reading Assignment.
These assignments will be collected during the second week of school and will count as part of your grade in Language Arts.
